Leslie Young

Leslie Young has been an educator since 2003 and has worked as an elementary teacher in a large public school district in the metro area since 2007.  She holds a Master’s degree in elementary education.  In addition to her teaching licenses, she holds an AMS Montessori credential and is an adjunct instructor at UW-River Falls where she teaches courses in the Montessori graduate program. 

Leslie has completed LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) training and is also trained by IMSE in Orton Gillingham structured literacy methods. Leslie is dedicated to supporting all learners in their literacy journey using evidence based approaches, knowing that literacy is intricately connected to access and opportunity.    Leslie lives in St. Paul with her family.
